Remote Learning Grant Success

Remote Learning Grant Success

All of us at CtKCC would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the Ernest Cook Trust.  Four of our six schools have been successful in their applications for a grant to support remote learning. The funding will help the schools to provide additional electronic devices to support home learning for our young people throughout the lockdown and beyond.

Mr G Murray, Head of School at St John Fisher Catholic College, is thrilled that the school has been successful in securing this funding and says: “Thanks to Ernest Cook Trust for your kind and generous grant towards computer devices to support our home learning provision. The impact of such provision for our learners is significant, both in terms of them being able to access their learning at present but also in terms of helping them as they move through their school life. A refreshingly straightforward application process that was positively decisive in outcome. Thank you for allowing our learners to be the best version of themselves.”

Three of our primary schools were also successful in their applications for funding. This will help our youngest pupils to continue their learning at home, further improving their computer-literacy along the way. Mr N Price, Headteacher at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, says: “Thank you to The Ernest Cook Trust for the generous award of a grant towards supporting IT provision in school. The money will enable us to provide devices to support children with their home learning whilst also increasing opportunities to access to the wider curriculum. It will have a really positive impact during these challenging times.”
