Assistant Cook

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Assistant Cook, with good all-round skills and a flexible approach to duties, to join our CaterKing team. Key tasks of the role include: food preparation and service, cooking of food, the operation of a cashless till system, and cleaning duties. The successful candidate would also be expected to cover for the Cook occasionally.

Grade 4, SCP4

£9.81 per hour (Pay Award Pending)

27.5 hours per week
Term time + 5 additional days

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Assistant Cook, with good all-round skills and a flexible approach to duties, to join our CaterKing team.

Key tasks of the role include: food preparation and service, cooking of food, the operation of a cashless till system, and cleaning duties. The successful candidate would also be expected to cover for the Cook occasionally.

Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred but not a requirement however, the ability to communicate easily with staff and students is essential. Knowledge of health and safety, food hygiene in the kitchen is essential, however refresher training will be provided.

The successful applicant would be based at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School (Trent Vale) but, may be asked to work at other schools across the Multi Academy Company.
